What to Do About That Late Fee…

It is no secret that times are getting tough but it is possible to outsmart what is happening around us by staying one step ahead. One tip to stay ahead of the enemy is if you happen to fall behind on a bill, call them and ask if they could waive the late fee! Most banks are allowed to waive late fees two times a year. If they don’t, I believe asking would give you more confidence for later on. So either way, it’s a win! It never hurts to ask. I truly believe asking helps to give you more confidence because if you’re afraid to ask, you’ve conquered one fear and moved forward to ask anyway, even if you get a no in return. That confidence boost could help you later on when you focus on another goal.

The number one fee that banks have is that dreaded late fee. Do you think they’re a little too happy placing a fee on every little thing? You name it, they have a fee for it. Ridiculous, I know, to see so many fees attached when you’re looking around to looking into what accounts to open up. Am I the only one who gets frustrated by how complicated this has gotten? But as long as we keep going along with it, they win. We do have an option of saying no even if it can be hard at times. The banks may seem like the boss, but we all have a weak spot, no matter how powerful we may seem.

If you’re feeling behind, don’t fret. There’s often another route to help you get back on the right track again. When we’re driving a car and the road is blocked, what do we do? Turn on another road and continue moving forward! I often joke around if I miss my turn and that I’m just taking the scenic route instead! 🙂  Get it? Scenic routes often have extra routes around due to seeing more of the scenery of the area so just mark it off as a scenic route instead. There’s nothing we can do about it so stressing about it is just a waste of time. The world has enough negativity so let’s not add to it 🙂

Anything is possible. Keep the faith. You’re not alone. We’ve all been there, including myself! It’s tough and embarrassing, but one day at a time, you will be on top of that mountain again!
